transmediale is known as one of the world's most experimental and thoughtful media arts festivals, inviting creators from all over the world to a transdisciplinary programme of experiments, exhibitions and lectures. This year, BCCKS Chief Creative Officer Gento Matsumoto was invited to create and publish digital and print works documenting the Art Hack Day creative collaborations that opened the festival. Matsumoto's Anmerkung portfolios and Buch compendiums were available in real time on BCCKS. １月２９日から ベルリンで開催されるメディアアートイベント「Transmediale」。今年は「Art Huck Day」と連携し、世界各国から招かれた作家が一同に介し作品制作を行います。 BCCKSからは松本弦人が招待され、制作過程記録ノート『Anmerkung』と、イベント全体を綴じた本『Buch』を、開催期間中に紙と電子で出版します。

本書は50篇の140字小説をまとめたものです。なぜ140字なのかといえば、それは本書の内容が、作者が自身のTwitterアカウントで呟いた文章を元にしているためです。 わずか140字で描写できることというのは、ほんの一瞬に過ぎません。ですから、いうなれば、本書に収められた1篇1篇は写真のようなものです。収録されている50篇は、それぞれ140字小説という独立した写真小説のようなものだといえます。 しかし、本書はそうした写真小説を50篇まとめることにより、全篇を通して読むことできるようにしています。そのため、本書を読んだ方は本書全体の印象をモンタージュのような、あるいは大雑把なアニメーションのようなものだと感じるでしょう。 本書はそういう作品です。読み終えた後に浮かび上がってくるのがどのようなストーリーなのか、それは読んでみてのお楽しみです。
