transmediale is known as one of the world's most experimental and thoughtful media arts festivals, inviting creators from all over the world to a transdisciplinary programme of experiments, exhibitions and lectures. This year, BCCKS Chief Creative Officer Gento Matsumoto was invited to create and publish digital and print works documenting the Art Hack Day creative collaborations that opened the festival. Matsumoto's Anmerkung portfolios and Buch compendiums were available in real time on BCCKS.

１月２９日から ベルリンで開催されるメディアアートイベント「Transmediale」。今年は「Art Hack Day」と連携し、世界各国から招かれた作家が一同に介し作品制作を行います。
BCCKSからは松本弦人が招待され、制作過程記録ノート『Anmerkung』と、イベント全体を綴じた本『Buch』を、開催期間中に紙と電子で出版します。
編集の過程と結果は随時この「BUCH書店」で更新します。

transmediale

transmediale is a Berlin-based festival and year-round project that draws out new connections between art, culture and technology. The activities of transmediale aim at fostering a critical understanding of contemporary culture and politics as saturated by media technologies. In the course of its 27 year history, the annual transmediale festival has turned into an essential event in the calendar of media art professionals, artists, activists and students from all over the world. The broad cultural appeal of the festival is recognised by the German federal government who supports the transmediale through its programme for beacons of contemporary culture.

トランスメディアーレは、アート・文化・テクノロジーの新しいつながりを提示するベルリンのフェスティバル／年間プロジェクトです。トランスメディアーレの活動は、メディアテクノロジーによって飽和した現代の文化と政治に対する批評的な理解を育むことを目的としています。27年の歴史を通じて、毎年のトランスメディアーレフェスティバルは世界のメディアアートのプロ、アーティスト、活動家や学生たちにとって非常に重要なイベントとなってきています。その広範囲に渡る文化的訴求力は、プログラムを通じてトランスメディアーレをサポートするドイツ政府から現代文化の案内役であると認められています。
