transmediale is known as one of the world's most experimental and thoughtful media arts festivals, inviting creators from all over the world to a transdisciplinary programme of experiments, exhibitions and lectures. This year, BCCKS Chief Creative Officer Gento Matsumoto was invited to create and publish digital and print works documenting the Art Hack Day creative collaborations that opened the festival. Matsumoto's Anmerkung portfolios and Buch compendiums were available in real time on BCCKS.

BCCKSからは松本弦人が招待され、制作過程記録ノート『Anmerkung』と、イベント全体を綴じた本『Buch』を、開催期間中に紙と電子で出版します。

transmediale
transmediale is a Berlin-based festival and year-round project that draws out new connections between art, culture and technology. The activities of transmediale aim at fostering a critical understanding of contemporary culture and politics as saturated by media technologies. In the course of its 27 year history, the annual transmediale festival has turned into an essential event in the calendar of media art professionals, artists, activists and students from all over the world. The broad cultural appeal of the festival is recognised by the German federal government who supports the transmediale through its programme for beacons of contemporary culture.
トランスメディアーレは、アート・文化・テクノロジーの新しいつながりを提示するベルリンのフェスティバル／年間プロジェクトです。トランスメディアーレの活動は、メディアテクノロジーによって飽和した現代の文化と政治に対する批評的な理解を育むことを目的としています。27年の歴史を通じて、毎年のトランスメディアーレフェスティバルは世界のメディアアートのプロ、アーティスト、活動家や学生たちにとって非常に重要なイベントとなってきています。その広範囲に渡る文化的訴求力は、プログラムを通じてトランスメディアーレをサポートするドイツ政府から現代文化の案内役であると認められています。

中学二年生の沢田ひとしは、子供の頃に川で溺れた。当時の記憶は曖昧だが、最近になって、またその時の悪夢を見るようになっていた。そんな時、ひとしが通う中学校に怪し気な関西弁を話す河西こうじが転校してくる。何かにつけて、ひとしに因縁をつけてくるこうじだったが、ある日、こうじは自分たちは、河童だったと言い出し……。（河童） 旦那が浮気している……？ 妙な噂に踊らされる私。人間関係における正しさとは？（正しさ） 悲しみを乗り越える方法は、人それぞれだ。（悲しみ） 彼女の元カレが、プロポーズ？ 仕事を辞めてバイトをしている俺は、なんか焦る。（大人は判ってない） 人生お休み中の俺は、公園で孤独なガキに会う。（Any Day Now） 短編集「kappa」 ・河童 ・正しさ ・悲しみ ・大人は判ってない ・Any Day Now 某サイトで公開していた表題作を加筆修正。 月刊群雛に掲載された短編と書き下ろし三作を含む、 五編の短編集。

とある夫婦の茶碗にまつわる話 「夫婦茶碗」 男の子だからって何でも買ってもらえる弟の存在が面白くない姉 「ユリコのゆりかご」 赤い絨毯に、トラウマがあるんです。とある探偵のもとに舞い込んだ依頼 「魔法のじゅうたん」 夏の日の夜、僕は耐えきれなくなって部屋のカーテンを引きちぎる！ 「不揃いのカーテンレール」 日々の暮らしは、何気ないようでいて、実際はもっと色々なことを思っているのだ。 （『生活のために働いてる』なんていうと、いわゆる意識高い系の人たちに、『仕事って、人生の多くの時間を割くもんだし、我慢して生活のために時間を費やすなんて、すごく虚しいよ』みたいに顰蹙を買うけれど、そういう人たちが、『自己実現のため』とか『より良い人生のため』に働いてるってのも、『人生＝生活＝LIFE』なんだから、そう変わらないんじゃないかな。『命を懸けて』なんていうけれど、誰だって命は一つしか無いし、生きているってことが既に命懸けだ。だから、生活のため、人生のため、命のため、っていうのは、本当は殆ど同じ意味だ。——本文より） 日々の生活や、そこからちょっとはみ出したエピソードにフォーカスを当てた連作短編です。
